My LO is 12 weeks and 3 days and is FF. Today when i changed her nappy her poop was bright bright green and quite runny. She is fine in herself. She is very dribbly at the moment but apart from that is her happy usual self. What could have caused this? Should i be concerned?

Have you started any solids yet?

And dribbly poo can happen during teething.

One funky colored poo I wouldn't worry about. The iron in the formula can cause some odd colors.

No fever, otherwise well baby and one green poo, I wouldn't worry at all.

Not started any solids yet. She could be starting to teeth i suppose as she is continuously munching on her fists at the minute no matter how much she is fed and dribbles for England!!!

What kind of formula are you using? SMA can give you green poos. My little one has done a good few khaki green coloured ones, I checked with my health visitor who said it was perfectly normal and that it was the SMA causing it x

She is on Aptamil comfort and has been since she was 2 weeks old.

How's the baby doing? Any more interesting colors?:winkwink:
Hope all is well.

Runnier than normal could be a teething thing and green can be caused by the iron in formula- Sophie's poo's were always a lovely shade of khaki

My LO had green poo the other day! I called the pediatrician who said not to worry. Green poo indicates a stool that moves quickly through the gut, so perhaps for some reason her feed went through her quickly. Ped told me not to worry about poop that's yellow, brown, green or orange. The only concerning colors are red and black. Hope that helps!

Interesting to know! I've always wondered why LO will have different coloured poop even though he obviously doesn't eat anything different...ever.

So, to the OP, yup, I often have had different coloured poop which leaves me scratching my head, but he always seems fine, so I never worried.

I know, right?! It's not like they have an eclectic diet :)

I saw a comedian on television say how when you become parents you will have more conversations about poop than sex with your spouse for a good long while!

SO true! My husband changed LO yesterday and mentioned that she pooped. I asked if I could see it and he looked at me like I had 2 heads :haha:
