gushes of blood 2 weeks post c section

I had occasional gushes as well and what looked like large clots in the toilet only. I talked to my OB and she said it was totally normal as the blood was just pooling in my vagina. That's what made it seem like gushes and look like clots in the bottom of the toilet. She wasn't worried as I wasn't soaking an entire pad.

Exactly the same happened me too, my midwife said to keep an eye out for signs of infection, pain etc and it the blood soaked a pad in an hour to contact my GP. 4 weeks on and I'm still getting occasional bleeding, with my DS I remember bleeding in and off for 6 weeks x

Have you started doing more activities? You might be overdoing it a bit - it takes your body a good few weeks to recover from a natural birth, and a c-section takes more recovery on top of that. I'd definitely mention it to your doctors or midwives, and keep an eye out for pain, smell or other signs of infection. I bled for 6 weeks after my c-section, and I knew if I'd overdone it because the blood would be heavier and bright red again.

Take care of yourself x

This is totally normal, but I would consult your doctor just in case.

Normally means try to slow down and rest a little more. That's what happened with me, and I was told to rest as much as i could. I had exactly same thing happen. Hope it sorts itself out, it's horrible x X

You might be trying to do too much physically - I found in first 6 weeks or so if I tried to walk to far or do much around the house I'd start up bleeding lots again. Down the road and back (about 100 yards) was heavy exercise for me at that stage. Try slowing down and see what happens. If you're soaking a pad an hour then call the doctor.
