Hi all! Haven't had a chance to write this since last week!
Well last Sat the 3rd i had a little boy after quite a long stressful day!
I went in on Fri 2nd to be induced and began having contractions around 3am on the Sat morning, started off like bad period pains eventually turning v painful!
I was taken down to delivery ward at 7am for some dia-morphine, which helped a little. I then had my waters broke at 9am and 3 cms. I then progressed very slowly using just the gas and air ntill i could take no more at around 2pm when i asked for the epidural! Was hard to stay still while the doctor worked and by this point my husband was white as a sheet!
Well this continued till around 7pm when i was checked by a doctor who said i was not progressing and may need a section. He returned 30 mins later and i was promptly whisked off to theatre for an emergency cersearean (sp?)
To say i was scared was an understatement but at 7.54pm my baby boy was lifted into the world, all 9 pounds 15 ounces of him!!!
Doctors said he would have been too big for me to deliver.
Well we are home now, healing well and loving living with our little man!
Here is the chunky monkey who we called Zander James xxx
