I had my LO at age 44 (naturally) back in February, and am just curious were there any much older mums, 44+ trying? I suppose, I'd like to have another one, but not yet? Anybody having luck at 44-45+?

Thanks!:hugs:

Been trying a bit over a yr Im 40 about to turn 41. I do however have chilren from my marriage. I had infertility problems before but nothing like this. I wish you best of luck on your journey and lots of baby dust

I am back TTC after having my first at 40, now 41.

Congrats on Finn arriving! When do you plan to start trying again?

I am almost 38 trying for #2 and I've been trying for 10 cycles. One interesting tidbit I read somewhere is that once you get the sharp decline in fertility after age 35, your chances don't really fall off that much more thereafter until menopause. So your chances at 44 really aren't that much worse that mine at 37/38. I think there are just fewer women trying in their forties so you don't get as many positive stories to give you hope.

I hope this is true because I would like to feel I have enough time to go for #2 and hopefully #3.

Hi . I'm 44, getting ready to turn 45 in October been ttc for going on 5 months for my first and its been an emotional journey.. Disappointments month after month... I'm going to try 1 more month before I see a specialist. I never thought it would be so hard. Chemical this last time.. I'm just lost for words... :( Could I be perimenopasal?

OMG this is me! I have two beautiful kids 13 & 16, remarried and trying for just ine more with my husband. My body is not cooperating, granted I have taken advantage of my body a lot in my younger years. Its tough. In the past few years ive been pregnant several times, most cp's with a dramatic mmc last october. It can happen, but the machine needs more grease lol. And you need a most supportive doctor. I have learnec about and seen so much bias, it is insane. My own doctors not there as they should be. My spexialiat has basically said that since I do not want donor egs, that there is nothing else she can do for me. At my age, I dont meet the criteria of who they will assist in ivf etc...she removed a huge fibroid, and since then Omg! For it to have grown, OBVIOUSLY I have estogren! But its been very frustrating.

I have learned A LOT here, and the women are very supportive. I am more proactive now, and wont accept a quasi attitude about what I want in life. My doctor wased 16 precious reproductive months before she even referred me to an RE!...now I am looking to accupuncture, additional progesterone and some stress relieving activitiea I love like aquafit etc. I found a clinic in the US that does mini ivf in people our age and will be speaking with them as well, using my own eggs.

Goof luck and God speed to us all!

Thank you Sabrina Kat for you words of hope! I am 39 TTC number 1 and was very much cheered to hear your story. I think we have been trying for about 16 months now but perhaps we dont BD often enough (OH performance issues). Im getting my hopes up too much this month Sore nipples are giving me hope!
Good luck all!

Sabrina I have cheered from the sidelines for a while, just wanted to say you are awesome. I wish you a nice second pregnancy. And yes we can`t let the stereotypes and opinions of others drag us down. It took 6 months to conceive our first at 37, started ttc our second at 39, now turned 40 and the alarms are ringing so loud in my head it`s just nuts.

I know we'll all get our BFP`s - thinking of you fab ladies every day :hugs:

Praying we all be happy healthy mommies again!!! sooooon!!!like next month or sooner!! 46 and ttc
