Went to my standard 36 MW apppointment on Wednesday with signs of pre eclampsia. MW took my blood pressure and very dramatically I was taken away by ambulance to hospital, where I was told I wouldn't be leaving without having my baby. After a failed induction Thursday day time, an emergency c section was performed and my son was born weighing just over 7lbs at 36 weeks and 3 days!
I'm so pleased my hospital bag was packed, definitely an idea to do it sooner rather than later! Word of warning, if you do suffer from severe swelling or notice it particularly in your face, start getting painful headaches especially across the top of your eyes or get funny flashing light rain in front of your eyes make sure you get checked.
We're still in hospital recovering but doing well, my little July baby unexpectedly became a little June man!
