Good evening Ladies,

Anyone else having a HUGE issue with this horrible virus that seems to be going around schools, day cares, after school programs? My 5 year old son got this horrible virus and at first we didn't know much about it and didn't take it serious. That was until my husband got it from him. And let me tell you how bad it is for adults. He couldn't walk for 2 weeks because of how bad the blisters got on his feet. They are both cured thank god. I'm lucky that i did not catch this thing... I'm just so nervous about everything now I have tons of hand sanitizer all over the house and I'm Constantly reminding everyone in my house hold to wash their hands. I'm just afraid that the schools aren't doing there part. I told my son when he was finally able to go back to school . I said son make sure you wash your hands before you eat, after you eat, when you come back inside from playing outside, and I could not believe the response he gave me. He Said Mommy when I ask the teacher to wash my hands she tells me its not time to wash hands yet.. I had a meeting with the teacher and come to find out they have a SCHEDULE of when to wash hands. That is ridiculous..anyone else dealing with this kinds of things????

I think HFMD is caused by a virus. Hand sanitizer isn’t going to help because it’s antibacterial not antiviral.

My kid got sick all the time his first year at daycare but not so much now. I’m very pro exposure to germs, so excessive hand washing is not my thing.

I don’t see why they can’t just let him wash his hands, unless he has to be escorted out of the room to do so. But I imagine they have accessible sinks. That would irk me. Would they let you keep hand sanitizer in his room for him to use?
