HARD Poo!

Hi All,

Kalea is bottle fed on SMA Gold. I read the leaflet of what her poo should be like, blah blah blah.

It's the right colour, but it's very hard.

She doesn't seem constipated as she does poo every day and doesn't seem to strain much.

I mentioned to my MW about it and she said it sounded normal and girls quite often take to formula different to boys.

Anyone elses newborn poo really hard?

I was always told newborn's whom had solid bowel movements were constipated.
Kaida has never had hard poo.. However, she's breast fed.
I'd ask your doctor.. Although your little one doesn't seem in discomfort, I'd ask just to put your mind at ease. Good luck.

Hannah's have never been hard either, I thought it was a sign of constipation as well

It doesnt even need to be all hard to be classed as constipation, even just a tiny little really hard bit. How about try her with some sugar water? See if it makes a difference x

I'll ask the Health Visitor at her first visit tomorrow. Because to me, it's just too firm. I was used to pastey type poo with my son.
