Hi all :hi:

My partner and I have been LTTC#1 since August 2009 (5 Years + 1 Month), we've had 3 miscarriages and a couple of chemical pregnancies along the way and last time I went to the consultant (in June this year) she prescribed me more Metformin and said if I could get my BMI under 30 by my next appt. (due December) the next stage would be referral to IVF as we've tried everything else.

She also ordered some blood tests to look into recurrent miscarriage, including Karyotyping and a couple of others. The blood tests had to be repeated a few weeks ago because I got a letter saying that there was an issue with the blood samples drawn so there are no results yet.

I didn't expect to get pregnant again in the meantime, but she said that she would be instructing my GP to prescribe certain medications to try and reduce the risk of miscarriage if I did. My GP got a letter a couple of weeks after my June appt. telling them to prescribe 75mg Aspirin daily, 400mg Cyclogest Pessary (Progesterone) and Clindamycin Vaginal Cream 2% Strength Daily for 4 Days and repeated 4 Weekly in the event of pregnancy.

I got my :bfp: a couple of days ago and phoned the GP who wanted to see me same day. They've given me the prescription but I'm not sure why I've been prescribed Clindamycin and I didn't discuss it with the consultant - we just discussed Aspirin and Progesterone. I was going to ask the GP but the GP didn't seem to know

I tried googling but all I can find is that it's used for BV (which I've never had to my knowledge) and that there's not been any studies conducting about usage in first tri

So I was just wondering if anyone else had been prescribed it?
