Has anyone gone overbord on presents for their OH?

He better have bought me loads or ill be sad on xmas day lol

I used to spoil mine on his bday and Christmas...which are only 10 days apart.

But, since having kids I don't do it as much any more.

I always spoil DH on Christmas and his BDay....however I hardly get anything from him. For his Bday this year I got him tickets to his favorite band which was almost sold out, a sweatshirt, and some car stuff...about $200 worth. Last year I got strawberries and a coloring book. This year for Christmas I got him a Blu Ray player, a blu ray disc, a new electric razor, car stuff...spent about $300. He hasn't gotten my anything yet...and my Bday is monday...

id have to kill him!!! its not about wanting the same amount of money is it its just the thought its always like david has got mine last min & he always ends up giving me mostly money cause he cant be arsed to shop x

So true...I don't care how much he spends, but I'd like him to put some THOUGHT into it anyway.

I always spend too much on my OH. He didn't get me anything for my birthday last or this year and last christmas got me a Dressing gown that was a M when I'm xs/s and I'd told him I'd gone off of.... This year I've got him an MP3 player, plectrum and little bits and pieces...not had as much money, but the MP3 player is £300 new and it's in as new condition (for £50)!!

I always do it. It makes me feel like an awesome girlfriend and means I can fend off his mum, who doesn't put much thought into prezzies (he got a bit depressed because he just gets money thrown at him, whereas I get LOADS of prezzies to open from my Step-mum and Aunt in particular....which is way more exciting!)

Matts bday is 4 days before Christmas so he tend to get really spoilt but mostly because he gets his bday and xmas presents together... he usually gets a bigger present as a joing xmas and bday present. Ive spoilt him this year even though I cant really afford it

We always set a limit so we know around about how much each other is spending. This year I got him about £100 worth. I wouldn't go over that tbh.

My husband was spoilt last year and so was I, but this year I got him a join xmas/birthday present because he's on paternity leave so we've got a lot less money than when he works.

DH and I set a $$ limit for gifts so we both get each other something 'equal'. it's good because we have no worry one will spend more on the other etc. we can break up the amount for several small gifts or buy a few big ticket items etc. I find the best bargains for what i'm going to get him so i can get him more within the budget.

this year i was able to get him quite a few things within the budget from using 20% off coupons and shopping some black friday sales . he's going to be quite spoiled with the deals i got!

I usually get carried away buying Marvin a bday pressies and i usally spend max £100 on his christmas present...but this year i dont think he is getting anything for Christmas...his birthday was in august and i bought him a brand new golf...so as far as im concerned he is not getting anything else... xx

james is always spoilt at xmas, and this year is no different. he's such a wonderful man i just can't help it, and for his bday too which is the end of jan. i'm always spoilt terribly and i've got a feeling this year he's outdone himself again so he deserves it x

OH lost his joba few months ago so we are broke, I got him the main thing he wanted for about £50 and then a few cheap bits and bobs. We're not too fussed anyway xmas is more about my nephews having fun

I have spent quite a lot on my boyfriend!! I wanted it to be one to remember as its our last xmas as a couple and not a family!! Am really looking forward to next xmas tho as I will get to buy him presents from his baby and that is soooo exciting =] My oh always spends loads on me!!
