Has anyone got a recipe for fish cakes?

My OH has got it into his head that he wants to make them! I have seen a lot of fussy recipes online, but want a nice simple one without having to buy too much as we are skint!
and do u think tinned salmon will be ok, seeing as fresh is so expensive?

I do tuna ones. Mash potato, broccoli and tinned tuna. Mix together and pat into shape, dip in egg and then onto breadcrumbs. Fry them until golden brown.

You could use tinned salmon too.

i made them when i had hardly anything in to eat. My OH loves them

tin salmon
mashed potatoes (about 2 small ones)
half an onion sliced
make patties, dip in egg then flour. and fry. Never tried breadcrumbs i guess theyd be just as nice
