Has anyone got gestational diabetes?

I've been advised by the hopsital following my glucose tolerance test that I have gestational diabetes...

Have to test my blood 7 times a days, started yesterday

Was just wondering if anyone else has it? x

I had it and yes it went away after i had my daughter but i need to have a blood test annually to see if it has come back as Diabetes. Ask on the tri boards, there is a few fellow GDers.

Yes but my diabetes level is still high, if it's below 7.8 3months after birth it's gone.. I came out at 6.8!! So losing weight to get rid of it totally..

i had it with all 3 of mine and was insulin dependant too but it did go away after babies were born. Good luck, here to help if you want XXXXXX
