I've just been quoted £145 per 1 & 1/2 hr hour session, chatting and acupuncture
at the kite clinic in london

anyone tried it? did it help to relax you as my stress levels seem to be getting too much at the moment and that wont help ttc but i cant help it

Ouch at the price. ive been going regularly for £40 a session in Glasgow.

How do you find it? do you think he helps you to feel better?

I have had 3 acupuncture appointments now. Mine are $60 per session. The sessions are relaxing. I usually fall sleep. I can't say that it relaxes me so much that I don't think about TTC as much.

TTC is still on my mind every minute of everyday. It consumes me. I'm just trying acupuncture to see if it increases my chances. They say it takes 6-8 sessions to get the full effects. I would say try it! It doesn't hurt and is relaxing at the time! Let me know how it goes if you decide to do it!!

Thanks i will do hun

Great advice, and i cant see how anyone can forget about ttc when they want a baby so much but if it helps me relax a little then thats a start

:hugs:

Hi, where abouts are you based? Ilive in essex and I get accupuncture done for £30 for about 3/4 hr-1hr including face scalp and back massage. It's from a very reputable chinese doctor on the high road. Soz hun butthese clinics inLondon or where ever I think charge extra for their name and their overheads. Local places can be just as good if not better. Just check that they specialise in and have experience in fertility. I tried 3 different people before I found this one!

Hi PixieLou

Whereabouts in Essex is that? I want to look into some kind of holistic treatment for my OH and me and I live in Essex. Do they say it increases chances of conceiving? I have endometriosis and my OH has had one test that says his sperm count a bit low so I want to help our fertility as much as possible.

Thanks xx

Yep they are a very well know company for fertility and they are in magazines and stuff so thats why they charge so much

Not sure of any places around here but i might have a look as it does seem rather steep

Thanks

I live in berkshire - windsor

Hi I would recommend swimming and yoga for relaxation if that is possible for you. Much cheaper and I feel so serene afterwards, especially yoga. x.

Thanks chick.....

I like swimming and need to loose some weight so that might help.....not sure on yoga, dont you need to be slim and flexible? i'm so not tall slim or flexible

Hey hun, I would also suggest looking around for other quotes too, as that really does seem like a high price tag. And what they're selling is the advertisement that it helps fertility, not the fact that it will deffinately work for each case. The people are trained in the same way hun, and as long as you go to a fully qualified practitioner they will work in the same way. Good look sweetie, I hope the treatments work and that they help you relax a lot

You definitely don't need to be flexible (or slim for that matter). I do yoga and I'm not that flexible. My back is, but my legs are terrible but yoga is helping them!! Yoga is just about working to your own capabilites. Plus you start getting more flexible straight away. I'm sure if you went to a class you would be pleasantly surprised anyway. All the classes I've been to have been really mixed in how flexible people are - and usually some people are amazing at some poses I cant do well at all, but struggle with others that I'm ok at. I'd definitely recommend it - I do Sivananda yoga and find it really good.
