My doctor has me trying a drug called Letrozole to conceive. Does anyone one have any experience with this? He is also suggesting IUI, which I might wait on and see if the drugs do the trick without it. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
My third baby was conceived on letrozole (fumera) and my last pregnancy which ended in a MMC was conceived on it as well. I do not O very often on my own and clomid did not help me to O either. Letozole is the only thing that works for me! I'm trying to get my hands on it again but have to wait for a new referral to a new fertility specialist!
I've been reading some hopeful stories of other people that took the drug, so I'm feeling hopeful. I had an ultrasound today to see if I was responding and it looks like I should ovulate from both of my ovaries.
I took Letrozole for almost a year. When I did get pregnant I wasn't taking it anymore, so I can't say it helped me. But when I was taking it I went in monthly for monitoring and I always responded really well. I had a nice thick lining and I produced multiple large follies on each side. So I think it definitley can increase someone's chances of getting pregnant.
