a friend who knows my fertility problems has announced on facebook she is going on maternity leave soon. i'd changed my settings aswell so don't see everyones posts. my heart just sank this morning.

just got a email from a good friend of mine saying a mutual friend of ours has had a baby. just not my day today off to do some retail threapy and pampering.

its annoying isn't it don't see the need for people to share every aspect of their life to the world. I like my privacy. I've calmed down from this morning

the ones that get me are the ones that put their scan picture as their profile pic - then give you a daily countdown - then change their pic as the blimin baby grows bigger - then you get all the schmaltzy baby pics as their profile pics.

I agree, quite a few people I know are either pregnant or have smallish (5 and under) kids and it's ALL they post about!

That is why I joined here, I am so ready to have my first baby it is insane. I have two cousins that just had babies, and friend who just had a baby about a year ago is pregnant again and another friend is about 4 months along, another FB friend is 36 wks. Argh! Facebook sucks!

I barely even get on facebook anymore. As soon as a friend announces their pregnancy on facebook they are "hidden". What I don't understand are the belly pictures. People who would NEVER (and should never) lift their shirts and take pictures of their belly and various stages during their pregnancy and then post them on facebook. Why do they do this? Nobody wants to see this!

I actually love looking at the belly pictures (even though I HATE hearing about it all), I'm not sure why, maybe because I haven't had a baby bump yet and I think that pregnant bellies are beautiful

Lol love it! I have come off facebook twice but can't help going back on it only to find more preg announcemnets grrrr - why do we do it to ourselves?!
