has anyone tried dr browns bottles? have just gave in and orderd some for lo as shes got terrible terrible gas/collic, she was doing fine until we swtitched her bottles from ma to tomee tippe cc as ma is just so much efferot to washs etc with all the peices but ever since the tomee tippe shes been so unhappy and uncomfortable, even back on the mam bottles i really dont understand how they can call the closer to nature bottles anti colic when theres just one tinz hole in the teat the bottle still filled with bubbles the teat collpased all the time and she was gulping more air then milk, im at my wits end so order the dr browns as a last result but wonddering if anyone has had any success with them?

I also hated the tt cc bottles, with a passion!
I use Dr brown and love them, they have the extra pieces to clean but to be honest I find that no extra hassle.
Just remember don't heat them up with the blue tube in because they will leak, heat them, then put it in :)

I have TT bottles and got some Dr Brown as LO was very windy, I much prefer the Dr B's, not sure how much difference they make to LO but they leak alot less when he's drinking so less goes down his chin and the teats never collapse!

I went and bought 2 more today so I don't have to use the TT ones anymore!

Can Dr Brown bottles be sterilised in TT microwave steriliser and do they fit in the TT bottle warmer?? I've been thinking of switching but don't want to be buying lots of new 'equipment' lol.

We put ours in the mam microwave steriliser so don't think it makes much difference, not sure about the bottle warmer as they are different shapes to tt

Tried her with dr browns bottles today and for he first time in a week she has slept without screaming in pain

We had Dr. Browns and we didn't care for it- they were still very gassy.
We switched to Playtex drop-ins (bottles with the bags). I don't know if it was the timing and the babies just got better with gas or what, but the drop-ins work a lot better for us.

Hate hate hate Tommee Tippee bottles! We are using Nuk now.. A lot less ends up over LO using Nuk

I use dr browns & love them never had a problem he winds himself on way up lol my sister started with a different bottle and my nephew wasn't happy she switched o dr brown and a total different baby xxx

We're trying one dr brown bottle that someone gave us and ive found it just about fits in our tt steriliser but they touch the top im hoping thats ok.

I love Dr Brown bottles! We started off with TT bottles and he made soo much noise drinking and taking in loads of air. Rubbish that it says they're anti colic bottles.
I use the TT steriliser with the dr b bottles, lots more pieces to wash but doesn't bother me whatsoever as long as I have a happy baby!!

The bottles work fine with the tt warmer but we ended up buying a dr brown microwave steriliser as we could only fit 2 dr brown bottles into the tt steriliser and even then it wouldn't shut properly. We can fit 4 bottles into the correct dr browns steriliser.

i use my mam microwave sterilser fits 4 dr browns in it

I use TT bottles to make the formula in and then transfer it into Dr B bottles, I make the bottles 8 at a time and only have 4 Dr B bottles so this works for me.

You can fit 4 dr b bottles into a TT steriliser, just dont put the lid on top of each teat in top layer, lay them on their sides beside the teat and put the blue tubes and the tops for the tubes in the bottom of the steriliser (where the other 2 bottles should go)

We are on dr brown love them - pain to clean though

I soak all the parts in a bowl of hot soapy water for 10 minutes then use the bottle brush on all parts and then rinse with clean hot water. They don't really take any longer than the tt bottles as I steeped them in hot water before washing too. I also don't reassemble the blue tube until after they are sterilised either.

I used dr browns with dd but decided to buy tommiee tippee bottles for lo and pissed I did! They were more expensive and suck! I hate them!
I took the 2 unopened packs back and got dr browns, still love them as much as I did 4 years ago!!

how they can call them anti colic bottlesi do not know

Because there is a valve that equalises the air pressure, you just have to make sure that the valve is not covered by milk.

If the teats are colapsing it sounds like LO needs to move up to the next teat size.

LOVE them! They have been a dream for us! Pain to clean but totally worth it!
