Hi, I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. I only breastfed my ds1 for a week as I really wasn't prepared and had no clue what I was doing. I don't want to make the same mistake so have been watching YouTube videos and scouring kellysmom lol!
This is what I've gotten so far for breastfeeding/expressing:
Medala swing pump
Extra medala bottles
6 normal bottles and teats
Cold water steriliser
Breast pads
Nursing bras x2 (will get more when I know what size I need)
Nursing tanks x4
Avent breast shells
Lanolin
Breastmilk storage bags
Light scarf for if I feel self conscious in public
Boppy pillow
Muslins x 10
Basket of books/quiet sit down toys to play with my eldest while feeding
Water bottle to keep next to me while feeding

Do I sound well prepared? Anything else anyone can think of? I really want it to work this time lol

I'd get a list of national helplines and local support groups ready so that if your confused, stressed or in pain you can get help straight away.

I'd also make sure the people around you are prepared for the best way they can help i.e you need them to bring you drinks and snacks, cut up your food in to fork able pieces, burp the baby, keep the house ticking over, take your other child out for stretches of time, so that breastfeeding can be your focus for the first few weeks.

I think all the equipment and stuff can be bought on the fly if there is anything you have forgotten, but there is no substitute for emotional and practical support!

Looks like a good list. Also stock up on snacks - you'll be hungry.
