I'm expecting baby no.2 in March but haven't worked for nearly 2 years now.

Is there anything I can claim to help pay for the set up for baby no2. ie: cot, clothes etc?

My partner isn't on a low enough wage to get low income support etc but was wondering whether we could get any help.

You'll get the Health in Pregnancy grant which is £190 and is available for every expectant mum, other than that I am not sure, maybe checke out the entitledto website?

According to entitled to I wont but that only gives like CTC and WFTC. I wont get more than I'm getting

Should I be telling the CTC & CB people that i'm pregnant by the way?

you can apply for the maternity grant its upto £500 after your 26 weeks to buy things for the baby, you can get the forms from your local jobcentre, id just go in and ask.

i havent worked since 2001 due to health issues and having the kids. because i am married i am entitled to nothing as OH works, despite only getting £10k a yr! we get child benefit, ct and wt that is it!

you will get the £190 hip grant as everyone can get that and the £500 sure start you maybe able to claim b4 birth but if not you should be able to after.

Yep, seems like you'll just get the HIP grant and possibly the sure start grant xx
