Ok so we have agreed that Madelyn Tashara will be our daughter's name. But I am having an issue. First off, both me and OH have two sisters. We agreed to name after one sister each, so the Lyn at the end of Madelyn for my sister, and Tashara for my OH's sister. But my issue is that my little sisters are 11 and 13 years old. So Lyn after my 11 year old sister and my 13 year old sister is very irate and upset. She says the only reason I dont want to name my daughter after her is because her name is stupid. And I know she always feels left out for other reasons so I would really like to name my daughter after her as well. But my OH says it is not "fair" if I name our daughter after my two sisters and he only gets to name her after one of his. His sisters name is Danielle, and for my sister it would be Louise. SO I was thinking about tallking to OH about name our daughter with 4 names, giving her 2 middle names so her name would Madelyn Tashara Eloise to combine the two remaining sisters and make it all even. I know it doesn't flow exactly right ... but I think it would be nice to get all 4 sisters in at once. So what do you all think about 2 middle names?? I don't want to criple my child in any way. And I am not sure how it works with form when you have 2 middle names ... so if someone could enlighten me a little that would be great.

I have two middle names! My name is Keegan Wynne Lolinthea. Lol how's that for a mouthful? Middle names rarely come up common place, it's just a pain on tax forms! lol

I actually think those three names sound really nice together. Very exotic! I think it can be a minefield naming after family though, as you've found. I dont think its a mouthful though, think it really works.

Thanks for the input ladies, really appreciate it. I think after sleeping on it that I am just going to go forward with the mind set that you cannot please them all! If I did not like the name Madelyn so much I do believe it would be changed to eliminate any hurt concerning my sisters because they are younger and do not completely understand. But, as I love the name it is going to stay. But I realize that I am not here to please everyone and my sister will eventually move on. In a couple years she will busy living her own life & having fun and this wont even matter I am sure.

you could always add it in there but not include it in things i.e application forms.
my little girl has two middle names but the second middle name was to only stop OH's mum kicking off and causing hell on earth (or at least a major earthquake in england knowing how humungous she is! :haha:) but she only gets refered to by her first and middle name. when i set up a bank account for her i missed off her second middle name. i will inform the nursery and school she goes to as well of this and that even though her full name is ****** Elizabeth Sarah i only want herto be refered to as ****** Elizabeth.
OH has even said he wished his mum showed her true colours sooner rather than later as shes not been bothered about seeing the twins since february, we wouldnt have included her name then, as she wouldnt have known about it as we dont speak to her that often anymore. xx

I quite like Madelyn Tashara Eloise -- i think it flows quite well & is a lovely & creative way to include all 4 sisters! I would say go with the two middle names, as long as you like it! Granted, your goal is not to please other people -- but if you like the name & it sounds good -- it would be a very special name & everyone would feel included - win/win!! And lots of people/babies have two middle names - it's quite common!

Two of my children have 2 middle names, after family . I think itd be a lovely gesture to all of them :flower:. Its not like middle names are used on an everyday basis.xx
