HCG at 13+5

I went to the emergency room last night, and they did a BETA test. If came back 138,000. Which seemed a bit low. So I looked through all my tests, and found one that was taken about 7 weeks ago. That one was 129,000. Which means in almost two months it's only increased by 9,000.... That FREAKS me out!!! The baby was okay, but why such low numbers. Anyone have this happen?

Hi. I had a bleed at 12 +3 and hadn't my dating scan yet. My midwife sent me to a and e and they took bloods which were only 76000! I was told that they were within the normally limits but they would have hoped for them to be higher. They sent me straight for a scan which I expected the worse and saw baby bouncing away. I'm now 16 + weeks and fingers crossed everything's looking good. When I was there I spoke to the sonographer and she she told me not to stress and that too much emphasis is placed on the beta levels. She said that once you get to 11/12 weeks that your hcg levels start to drop so that may explain your result. Fingers crossed all is well xx

I've never had my hcg levels checked but I believe the levels peak at around 10 weeks and then drop again. It sounds normal to me!

my levels did exactly the same thing, they peaked around 10-11 weeks and started to decrease, and I am now 26+6 and have seen baby about 4 times and can feel him kick and move daily. so don't worry about your levels, that is fully within normal range. Good luck on many more weeks hun!

Totally normal. I wouldn't worry. If you google hCG rate charts you'll see that hCG only increases quickly in the first few weeks and then it slows down before dipping around 10-11 weeks. And the weekly range for hCG levels is just HUGE. At 7 weeks with my son, my hCG was 12,000. The next week, it had only risen to 17,000 so I was concerned but the dr said it wasn't an issue.
