Hi, I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place. My husband and I suffered from an ectopic pregnancy last year (methotrexate tx) and have been on clomid the last 5 months TTC. I got my BFP 3 weeks ago. My initial blood draws were: 8dpo 18, 10dpo 53, 17 dpo 433 and now 20dpo 850. My number is 16 points from doubling. I should also note that this last draw was given only because I was spotting (very little amount) of brown throughout the weekend. It is subsiding now with no cramps. I go in tomorrow for a repeat blood test but am driving myself absolutely CRAZY because my numbers didnt quite double in the 72 hour range. I went in for the spotting and came out just crazy over these numbers. Any insight?

Try not to read too much into your hcg levels, they look good so far, despite the last one. Not everyone's hcg levels double, it's a very vague thing, and that's why hcg level testing is not routine practice as it often cause more worry than good. I have also had an ectopic and I've had down spotting on and off throughout this pregnancy which as you can imagine caused me lots of worry, but no cause has ever been found and bubs is doing just grand. As your pregnancy progresses you will start to relax- never fully , pregnancy after a loss is hard - but it will get easier. Look into your heart, I'm sure in there you will have a gut feeling as to if your baby is ok or not, despite all the fears and worrying. Look for that gut feeling and allow it to reassure you. Wishing you all the best and a h&h 9 months xxx
