Max slept through from 9pm till 5.30am without waking once i am so so proud of him and feel completley refreshed enough so that i am going to go out!!

shopping with both of them on my own and without the double buggy as Hollie will not sit in it

sooooooooooo wish me luck lol!!!!!

thanks i am sure we will be fine very daunting though with the both of them!! and try to put a harness/reins on Hollie and she just hangs her legs so i have to literally carry her over my shoulder on them!!! trying to make her hold the buggy and walk with us is fine and works till she sees something she loves the look of then we are there all day!! ha ha

Yay well done max :happydance:

Im so jealous!!!!!!!!!! Meadow doesnt even think about bed till 11pm. Then finally gets to sleep at 12. Wakes up at 4 and 7.30ish.

Well done Max

ha ha bless meadow, i have been so lucky, both mine have slpet through early my dd was 6 weeks and she used to do 10 hours so max has a week and half to catch up lol lol!! xxx

How did you manage to get him to sleep threw the night!!??? TELL ME! LOL Allison wakes up every 2 hours to eat still! Its driving me crazy i wish she would sleep a little longer then 2 hours!

basically, from 6pm i give him water when he wants feeding and then by 9pm he is mega hungry and will take a full 6oz bottle, then he sleeps really well, also he only will settle on his front, and with his face touching something really soft ( my soft blanket is from primark, 3.50 and both my kids love them they are soooooo soft and fluffy!)

both of my children have had the same routine from very early and my daughter has slept through from 6 weeks and still does at 21 months only wakes when teething or poorly, and hoping that Max is going to be the same, and hoping that in a few weeks i can up his intake of an evening and he will go longer!!

hope it works for you if you decide to try it. xxx

Oh i heard that giving a newborn just water can cause seizures?

i'd heard something like that too, sammy.

Is it not true then?

Maybe its different for some babies? I dunno, Im to scared to let her have any water i dont want her having a seizure

i have never heard of it causing seizures, and they are not newly born anymore they are a month old now, but my daughter who was born in June my h/v told me to give her water stop her getting de-hydrated. Max has been having water since he was a few days old as they told me to give him it to cool the thrush on his tounge.

i am going to ask about that though as its really worried me now.

xx

Ooh, lucky you! David has done that maybe ten times... *sigh* maybe once he takes to solids he'll sleep through.

well i just called the hospital as it really worried me about the seizures, also found an article on it on babycentre and it says about it causing brain damage, and the hospital staff laughed at me as they said water is fine, not too much though, not that it will do damage but they dont need too much, so an ounce like what he has is fine, they also advised me to send the link on babycentre to watchdog as it is ridiculous that they put that on their.

just thought i would say as it may have worried a few people i know it did me! bloody internet is nothing but trouble sometimes. xx
