What should I do?
The tin says feed 5 bottles a day, yest he had 7 plus 3x bf

I try delay it to 3 hours and distract with toys, car trips etc but he screams!

you should still feed "on demand" regardless of BF and FF.

My LO took a bottle every 2 hours or less until she was like 5 months old, the dr said you really can't overfeed them at this age.

Don't worry about what the tin says. Just feed your LO when he's hungry :)

The instructions on the tin are there as a guideline...you can't over feed the baby so if he wants fed every two hours ...give it to him...he is still pretty little so he should be eating every 2-3hrs. You can also try giving him more ounces per bottle. At 7wks my DS both were eating between 4-6oz per bottle.

It takes him forever to drink the 150ml as it is, a lot oozes out his mouth so I wonder what he's actually getting

Forget what the tin says. feed on demand, breast or formula.

He is likely getting enough per bottle...it always looks like a ton coming out when they spit up etc...I would just feed him on demand and forget the tin and clock. At that age baby wants what baby wants...he is also likely going thru a growth spurt and you may notice he will eat and eat and eat and then all of a sudden he won' eat as much.

Forget what the tin says. Is he wanting to finish the bottle or are you encouraging him to? It's healthiest just to let him have what he wants when he wants it, so don't try to make him finish. If you're worried about wastage, just make a few ounces; you can always make more if he's still hungry.

Ignore what the tin says, they are just broad guidelines. All babies are different, some may take less than that amount (like my girl) and others more. Feed on demand. My LO was still feeding every 2 hours at that age, even now at 6 months she sometimes only goes 2 1/2 hours. If baby is hungry, don't delay it - just feed them.

Braden is the same way. I feed on demand. Sometimes he drinks 3 ounces, other times 4 ounces, and occasionally 6 ounces. To not waste, I make 3 ounces, and if he wants more, I make 2 more ounces. It seems like when I make 4 ounces, he wants less, and it was wasting formula. Usually he wants 4 ounces first thing in the morning, then 2-3 more ounces 30 minutes later, then sleeps, eats another big feed, then tappers to just 2-3 ounces every hour to two hours, then one to two large feeds before bedtime, and two small feeds in the middle of the night.

In my opinion, if your not forcing him to eat, you can't over feed him. At this age, you shouldn't deny food and try to control the amount based on the tin. I never paid attention to what the tins recommended to feed anyways.
