My baby is a few days shy of 4 months old, and her head still bobs around on her neck. And when she sits (in the bumbo or pram for example), she slumps her head over onto her shoulder for support. She does lift it up, but overall she just isn't as strong as you'd expect from a 4 month old. I'm not particularly worried, since the nurse said she just needs more practice and tummy time. But my other 3 kids never had this issue, they were quite strong around 2 months already, especially my boys. And their heads were huge! Unlike their baby sister who's head now measures 41cm at almost 4 months.

Anyone else's baby's head still bobbing at 4 months?

My son just turned 4 months and in the last few days his head control has gotten better. I put him in the bumbo at 3 1/2 months my friends son was in there at 3 months and had such good head control and at 3 1/2 months my son couldnt sit properly. point is all kids develop at diff rates dont worry you will see in a matter of days things change :)

Mines always had really good head control, however if he's excited or too much is going on he loses it and head buts me occasionally :)

Lily is almost 4 months and has been able to hold her head up since birth but when she gets excited or when I stand her on my legs she's like a nodding dog because her head shakes. She doesn't drop it down or anything she just nods continuously lol x
