I just had a "friend" say to me that I don't understand bc I'm not a mother :(

Oh sorry hun :hugs: Some people just don't understand at all how BADLY we want to be mothers and how their words can cut.

I am sorry, I guess your "friend" doesn't understand what it is like to be in our position :(

That is something that is extremely hurtful to say :( Does she know that you are TTC? Hang in there, and just know we are here if you need to vent :hugs:

Ex friend if they said that to me! Sorry girl! Hugs

It happens everywhere. My SIL wont leave my nephew alone with me and DH because "we dont have children and couldn't possibly know how to take care of him" even though I have what is known as free babysitting services to all of my friends and pratically raised my sisters son with her. (He lives with us Fri-Sun)

To be nice...Your "friend" is a jerk!! A real ASS. Perhaps she doesn't realize or understand what its like to be a friend. My girlfriends would never say that to me....I'd ditch her as a bud. Clearly..she is an ass. Sorry peanut that happened to you.

Yeah I couldn't keep company like that around me, or if I did I would limit what I tell her and if she made a comment like that I would have to set her straight and tell her she is hurtful and mean! Sorry she said that to you its amazing how many times people will put their foot in their mouths and not even realize it!

I haven't had someone say that directly, but I've had conversations with people which that is basically their point. Like going on and on how hard it is and what it's really like etc and being really patronizing and on a high horse about it. it really stings. Like I can tell you one thing, they wouldn't trade places with me for a millisecond I don't care what they say.

Im sorry :( people do not understand it and they dont think before they open there mouths.

Thank you :) I hope god blesses you with a healthy pregnancy and baby very soon

I've had that said to me before. It's just heartbreaking. Sorry hun Lots of :hugs:
