Heartburn in early pregnancy?

:wave: Ladies just me again with another question sorry

Well as the title suggests ^ I know heartburn is more common in later preg and I had a terrible dose with DS but is it also an early sympton too?

I have vvvfaint bfps right now and if indeed they do darken we will be 5+1 wks and I have been thinking about my symptons and have realised for about 10days I have had heartburn on and off (dont usually suffer from!) Wondering if any of you Ladies also suffered from as a 2ww sympton

Yeah I had it during my last pregnancy. Didn't know I was pregnant at the time and was out on a night out having a few drinks and the next thing I had to go home as I had the most painful heart burn that made me feel ill.

I tested 3 days later and got my BFP! I was 21DPO by that stage but unfortunately m/c at 6+2.

Anyway, I'm now PG again and one of my give away signs was heart burn again. Get it most days. Don't know if it something in particular I eat that causes it but I had it from 9/10DPO. Along with sore BB and dizzyness and I also felt like i had a cold coming on too.

I have it right now and have only had a chicken sandwich and a cup of tea all day just dont feel hungry right now! My sister also said it was her giveaway sympton she was preggers unfortunately she has a 6 m/c but she always says she knows from the heartburn!

Hi! I have had quite bad heartburn from pretty much day one this time. I hope this is it for you. I would guess so by the faint BFP's, mine didn't get dark till i was abt 6w. Try eating little and often, this helps with mine xxx

I didn't have heartburn with my son till 35 weeks or so but this time I had it from about 7dpo, not fun! Have it every other day I reckon on average.

I didn't have heartburn but really bad indegestion and trapped wind in my 2WW I still get really painfull trapped wind on/off usually at night, can be really sore!
Oh by the way, CONGRATS!! Very faint lines means BFP!! x

I have had a glass of very diluted blackcurrant juice with ice b/c its very hot here in sunny Leeds and it has subsided for now although I guess then from everyones replies it is def a early preg sympton

I'd agree! Didn't get heartburn till about 20weeks with DS but got it around time of BFP and have it about about once a week now when I've had juice. Never ever get heartburn normally either!! Sounds like congrats are in order!! X

I spoke too soon its back and I feel blah! I dont normally get it either but did with DS later on in preg though like when I was 20wks or summat I use to drink a pint of milk before bed and when I got it during day and it seems to work I was addicted to cravendale milk when preg with DS might be why I am forever cutting his nails and hair now I have had it for about 10 days now very persistant today though!

I've had it off and on the past week. I'm pretty sure it's mainly my stomach responding negatively to some of my food choices.

UGH gaviscon is vile I used to drink milk with DS and it seemed to do the trick! you can also have rennies

i dont normally ever get heartburn, but had it twice briefly yesterday and once the day before, not sure if its coincidence or down to symptoms!!

I had an ultra pale BFP on last wednesday(IC), thurs i tried Tesco test, not dark but good enough!,then i flew out thehouse and bought a clearblue test, a nice big clear cross came up straight away-might be worth splashing out on clear blue for a definative answer?!

Hey Madly!

Heartburn in later pregnancy is mostly caused by the baby squashing things I think, but you can get it throughout. If I remember rightly the whole system kind of softens which weakens the sphincter or whatever it is at the entrance to the stomach. Plus digestion is more slow so I guess stuff sits longer in the stomach too. i was lucky and hardly had any heartburn with Byron at all.

Funny madcat I got my v clear + on an original cb with DS and a few ladies have suggested I purchase one? I havent seen them anywhere though b/c the digi are more popular now I suppose? Where did you purchase yours?
