Heating bottle in microwave?

I have always warmed Jacob's bottle by using a jug and boiling water but it takes forever and was just wondering how long you put a bottle in the microwave for? He has 8oz bottles if that makes any difference!! xx

my lo's 7oz bottle goes in for 29 sec. but every microwave is different. so just try it and remove and try and pop back in if not to his temp

Fran's 7oz bottles go in for 1 minute - but she does like hers really warm. The best thing to do is start off at around 30 secs, test it and put it in for another 10 until it's right. If you overdo it just cool it under the tap. Then you know how long to give it next time and it makes life soooo much easier xx

Oh and it might sound obvious but just make sure you shake it well to mix in the hot spots xx

We seem to have power surges in our house, so everytime I warm Emily's milk in the microwave it takes a different amount of time! It's really annoying. I always do it 10 mins before her feed incase it ends up too hot and needs to cool down again. I usually do 45 seconds for a 6oz bottle, then sometimes it needs another 5 - 10 seconds (and sometimes it's too hot!)

I think it depends - which bottles you use, how powerful your microwave is etc. We do a 7oz bottle for 50 seconds x x

I never know when Fran will want feeding because she has no set pattern so can't heat in advance lol. If I overcook it I just cool it down under the tap - our microwave seems to heat to a different temperature every time too!!!

it takes 1 min 20 to heat oscars 7oz bottle my microwave is a 750 watt but we do use the mam bottles that are really thick, he likes it pretty warm too x

Thanks guys will give it a try today!! Also how annoying that TT microwave sterilises only hold 4 bottles now, my old one from my son (nearly 7 eek) used to hold 6 bottles and would last 24 hrs!! TT bain of my life!!

5 oz bottle for 45 secs out of fridge.
Not in fridge- 25 secs

My LOs bottles is 5oz & it goes in for 30 seconds to take the chill off it if i have pre-made them with the milk in them.
