I know it's not recommended, but how many of you ladies do? And how long do you need to put them in for? I premake and rapid cool Rosie's bottles but they are taking ages to heat up in boiling water! (7oz of milk in a bottle) xxxx

I used to with my girls and it never did them any harm.. I can't remember for sure how long I put them in for but so they where warm, probs about 30-40 seconds depending on watt of microwave... Just make sure you give bottle a good shake after and mixes it all up so there's no cold/hot spots x

I did too, and never had any issues. As the PP said, make sure you give them a good mix (I prefer to swirl rather than shake, less air bubbles!). For a fridge-cold bottle I seem to remember it being about 30 seconds. But you'd probably be best doing about 20 seconds, testing it, then doing 5-10 second bursts until it's right.

I did.

Did them on for 35 seconds, quick shake, let the bubbles settle and away we went.

V xx

I heat them in the microwave for 30 seconds and they come out the perfect temp - I also shake them up but don't have a problem with bubbles as we have to put gas drops in each bottle and they completely prevent bubbles/foam.

I have never used the microwave but have a quick way to make up bottles. Fill up the bottles with water in the morning. When you require a bottle, boil the kettle and pour our approx 1oz. Top the bottle up with the boiling water and and the formula. The bottle should be good to go!

Took us 3 months to realise this was the best method for us :)

Yes I heat them up in the microwave - always give the bottle a good swirl afterwards and leave it to rest for 2 minutes before giving to baby.

50 seconds is the magic amount of time for our 5oz bottles.

I use the microwave as well, 6 ounce bottle takes about 45 seconds in my microwave, just gets it to room temp. So much quicker than heating up with water, just give a good swirl after putting in the microwave!!

40 secs for my 7oz bottles.. shake well or mix with a knife... works best for us :)

I'm so glad I am not the only one... I felt a little guilty every time I read the warning about hot spots, but I can't bear to leave the little guy crying while I try to warm them any other way!

i've got an 800watt microwave and 8 and half oz of milk in MAM bottles takes 1 min 15 secs, they only take 1 min in my moms microwave but she has 1000watt

I'm glad other people do it too. :haha:
I make a bottle before I go to bed at night and put it in the refrigerator so when he wakes up I heat it for about 35 seconds shake it up and feed him. Then do it all over again.

Same here - think MAM bottles are more insulated at the base so take slightly longer. I do same size bottles and 1min for gentle warm or 1min 10secs for a properly warm bottle IYKWIM?

I microwave a 9oz bottle for 50-60 seconds. It saves so much time and stress! I test and re test the temp to be sure it's ok.

I'm so glad others do it, everyone had a go at me for doing it and I felt horrible :( I only do it at night time now though because it's so much easier. Baby has 180mls and I heat it up for 40 seconds max and swirl it around. He seems to be doing fine with it.

yep microwave all the way, warming in hot water takes too long and doesnt get it as warm as he likes it! so much easier

I put them in the fridge once they're cool, then put in microwave for 40 seconds straight or 20 secs, then 20 secs then 10 secs if he needs a slightly warmer bottle, like before bed :) xxx

I microwave the water for about 30 seconds, mix it up and its ready. simple :)

I did it with my eldest, i always pre made but warmed them in water until he was around 6 months then found it easier/quicker to microwave.x

I have always done it. I cant remember a time. Ive always just put it in and turned the dial and took it out when it felt like time and tested it!
