I had an ERPC/D&C at the end of December, I only experienced light bleeding, even on the day I had the ERPC, it wasn't that heavy, except for the first time I went to the loo. Anyway, ever since then, my periods seem to have become a lot heavier than I've ever had. Is this normal? Sorry, I don't want to go way over the top with TMI, but when I woke up this morning it was really bad. I went to the toilet (TMI coming up!!!) and the blood was literally dripping out

My period started yesterday (this is my third actual period after my miscarriage, obviously not including the bleeding from the miscarriage) and it's not ridiculously heavy but I wondered if anyone else has this?

It's also kind of made me a bit paranoid. I never knew that ERPCs could be incomplete and it made me wonder if maybe mine wasn't done properly but surely that can't be the case because I've had regularish cycles (34 day cycle was from my miscarriage to first period, then 28 day cycle and the last one was 26). I'm not passing any clots so it's not like that there is any problem is there?

I can't believe some of the questions I ask, but I don't know anywhere else I can ask xxx

So sorry the old bag got you again susan :(

I can't really help you out as I'm only a few weeks on from mine & havn't had my first AF yet,
but.. I have had a scan which shows my womb lining is much thicker than it was before.

I'm told to expect a heavier period the first time, but I wonder if it might affect susequent AF's too if it stays thicker? I'm normally very light.

I don't think you would still be retaining any tissue by now tho, espcially if your cycles have returned OK & you are testing BFN

Hope you get pregnant again very soon sweetie, then you won't have to worry about these flipping horrible AF's! :hugs:

Thank you. I'm sure I can't have retained anything because my tests are negative, although I always seem to get evaps on them but I've used a CB digi which told me I wasn't pregnant.

My periods used to be really light but that was probably as I was on the pill and I know they say that the pill can lighten your periods. Sometimes, mine would be virtually non-existent. I could have got away with a pantyliner the whole way through. Maybe it's because the pill is completely out of my system (I've heard that that can take 3 months to completely clear your system) and I didn't have many periods before getting pregnant (I had 3 if you count the first period which started straight after I finished the pill).

Glad you got some answers dan-o. Bet you can't wait to start trying again. Hopefully you'll be pregnant again very soon xxx
