Hello Everyone!
This is my first time posting to this forum or any TTC forum!

I am wondering if anyone can give me their thoughts on my situation. Do I still have hope this round?

I took an OPK test on May 1 that was positive (16 days ago). My husband I "BD'd" that day, the previous day, and the day after that around that time.

This is our second month TTCing a little bit more seriously (but our fourth month not trying to prevent pregnancy). I am trying to be relaxed about everything and can't seem to manage to take my BBT every morning at the same time in a strict fashion, so I have been taking my temp sporadically every day throughout the day, just to have a pulse on what my temps usually are...

This month things feel different than usual. Based on cervical mucous, I think I ovulated on May 2. At that time I had CM that is like egg whites.
After this, I had several days (like 5-6) of very watery CM (not sticky at all and it was kind of white).
My temps seemed like every other month until about 10 DPO when I Had them dip about 1 degree.
Today and yesterday 13 and 14 DPO, my temperature has shown to be at least a full degree or more above my usual temps.

I usually have 32-35 day cycles. My breasts usually hurt from the day after ovulation and this round they do not hurt at all. I was feeling wonderful up until a few days ago when I became kind of irritable/moody and started to feel a bit bloated. The bloating usually starts just after ovulation.

I have had mild cramps on and off throughout this TWW....

My last few days have been peppered by BFNs, but I have not taken any with FMU - I always tell myself I should wait until after AF is due and not waste another test, etc, etc and then at around SMU or Third, I figure "what the heck, i'll check!"
I have been using 99cents only store tests with a couple FRERs thrown in.

SORRY THIS IS SO LONGWINDED. Thanks for any thoughts you guys might have. I appreciate your help.
:dust: to all!

Your not out till the witch comes good luck!

Not sure temping throughout the day will help but if you can get the hang of temping first thing in the am it's very helpful! Hoping you won't need that advice and you'll get your BFP this time though :) Maybe try to take the next test with FMU tomorrow and let us know how it goes for sure!

Hi Keri and Countrygirl! Thanks for your responses and support!

I used a FRER this morning with FMU and had a :bfn: ...:-(....
I also took my temp before getting out of bed and it was still very high (it has ranged from 98.0-98.9 in the past couple days and was 98.3 this AM). (Usually it's 97.5 or something (post ovulation).

I am starting to worry that I maybe ovulated a little later than I thought I did, and didn't cover my BD bases enough....(Maybe all the watery CM I reported was because I was about to ovulate).
Today is 35 days since my last period....If I ovulated later than I think, maybe I am still less than 14 DPO.
Who knows...I will try to be organized (temping and BDing through a great spread) next time around....

I still don't really feel like my period is coming, so with the BFNs, maybe I had a weird anovulatory cycle  ..

Thanks guys! It is nice to write here to others!

:-),

Any luck today? I'm in the same boat! Hoping for a bfp or af soon xx

Usually CM should dry up after ov, so perhaps the watery cm is an indication you ov'd later than you thought? This happens to me ALL the time, but I have got PCOS so it's to be expected!! Sometimes your hormones can go a bit crazy, and you might find you have multiple patches of fertile-looking CM due to oestrogen surges.

However, in saying that I think I've read on plenty of forums people describing changes in their cm the cycles they got pregnant. So everything I just said may be totally wrong in your case!

I'm a big, big fan of BBT; it's the only way I can track my ovulation. I'm no saint either and don't take it bang on the same time every day. My rule is basically take it before I move out of bed in the morning, and as long as it's between about 6:30-8:30 when I take it, it should be good. I've also learnt I can take my temp in the evening as well if I'm not sure if I o'd yet or not, and that temp will be a fairly good indicator. But, the rule with that is I can only do that reliably if I've been sitting on the sofa all evening and not really moving around!!

So I would say if you can become a little stricter with your temps, you should know a lot more. I know it's hard to take it at the exact same time every day and I find it doesn't make too much difference; I always spot OV in the end! (Unless it's an anovulatory cycle of course!)

SO have I been any help here...ummm probably not!! I can't tell from your story if there's a good chance you're pg or not I'm afraid. But I really hope it happens soon for you :hugs:

Thanks Smiler! You were a lot of help!
Just now I was doing a little interent ~research~ and I found a quote from the Taking Charge of your Fertility book that said that increasingly wet CM around the time of ovulation indicates that the body was attempting to ovulate but it for some reason couldn't happen. When I read that I thought 'BINGO!' And here is your post corroborating what I just read.
I normally have pretty regular cycles. (They were perfect for about a year before TTCing and since then things are a little screwy)....
I am a very easily stressed out person....

I took my BBT this AM before getting out of bed and it was still high (98.4) and then I took a test which was a :bfn: ....

Unfortunately my husband and I did not BD at all during the time that maybe I did ovulate... Unless sperm lived in my body for 5+ days, I have no chance of pregnancy. I did not know getting pregnant was so difficult!

I am going to get stricter with my temps, Smiler, like you suggested.... :coolio:

Countrygirl and Brandybump, thanks for asking! :flow:
You are all great!

Brandybump, do you have anything to report?
BTW, these forums make TTCing fun!

:dust: to all of you!!!!!!!!!!

Aw well I'm glad to know my ramblings were of some use :) I'm sorry you may have missed an opportunity this cycle. I don't want to get your hopes up but both times I got pg there was a gap of 4-5 days between DTD and ovulation so was unexpected both times! I thought for sure we'd missed it. But, we've been TTC for nearly 2 years now with big gaps, and also bang-on perfect timing, so it doesn't always work out quite how you'd hope :(

I find stress definitely makes my cycles longer so the more you can do to calm down the better...but easier said than done I know! I think when ttc all the things that go through your mind like, ooh cut down on caffeine, alcohol, I should lose weight, am I taking the right vitamins, did we have sex at the right time, when is is going to be MY turn.....just doesn't help at all! It is way harder to get pg than the docs would have you believe when you are 15 haha :) It is good to relax and kick back, just do stuff that you enjoy, and try to remind yourselves to make the most of the time together because once you do have kids you ain't going to get much privacy ;)

I hope it doesn't take you guys too long though. Hopefully this was just one wacky cycle and things will go back to normal soon. Good luck! x

Hi Smiler,
Thank you again for your information and insights!
I am still in the same boat as I was before - still a daily morning bbt of 98.3 (or .1 degree up or down) with the last bfn being yesterday morning. :sadangel: Today marks about 1 week post the due date of my period (when the cycle is 35 days). If I ovulated later, I guess I am not late by as much, of course, but it feels like it's been 20 years since my last one...

I've been having tenderness on the sides of my breasts and at the nipples (when touched), and a bit of tiredness and fatigue with random moments of nausea. I keep thinking, could I really be one of those rare people who tests positive so late? But, I know that is crazy wishful thinking. I really hate having such a late period.

I did have a stressful month, so ovulating late makes sense...:shy:

Hope everyone is doing well and that you guys get your :bfp: soon!
:dust:

How are things today birdbear? Any news? Yeah if you had more EWCM 5-6 days after you thought you ovulated then maybe AF is due around now, and you'll start to have more luck with testing. Are you using FMU now? I have massive gaps between periods so I know what you mean about it being so frustrating. I'm still waiting to OV. Day 33 and counting!! Argh :dohh:

Smiler, you are very nice!
I had some brownish spotting last night that is typical at the beginning of my period - and this morning my temp was down by about half a degree. Looks like AF will be here in no time!:plane::yipee:
I hope you ovulate ASAP!
Thanks for everything! Hope to see your developments and updates on here!

:dust::dust::dust:

Oh no :( :( I'm really sorry for your bfn. Hopefully it won't be too much longer til you get the lovely pink lines!

I don't know what is going on with me, my temps are all over the place! I thought I ov'd a few days ago, but had a massive temp drop today so I'm still waiting...oh well. Meant to be starting clomid in a few months so fingers crossed for both of us :D

Thanks for asking me :)

Still not sure about ov yet. My temps are super rocky this month, I don't know why  FF keeps giving me crosshairs but then taking them away again. Annoying! How are things with you, did AF definitely arrive?
