help/advice needed allergies

i went to the doctors asking them to test my daughter for dairy allergy as she keeps being sick, they wouldnt do it as shes only showing one symptom but suggested i spoke to the pharmacist about formulas (i think need to contain) protein hydrolysate but the pharmacist have never heard of it and the only thing they could think of was soya milk but the doctor never mentioned soya.

So i was just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and knew what protein hydrolysate was and what formula we should be trying.
