Hopefully i have posted this in the right area!

Im am literally in the very early stages of becoming a childminder!

Absolutly any advice is welcome please.. rom either childminders or parents who's children visit a childminder..

I also have a few questions-

can people give me safety tips & advice please,

i am thinking of converting my large garage into a play space.. do you think this is a worth while idea?

what kinds of paper work is involved?

Do you get or get given a daily sheet explaining what your child has eaten and done etc?

if going out with the children is it ok to use your own car seats buggys etc?

do you need different home insurance and car insurance??

Thanks soo soo much in advance!!!

Answering on the basis that my LO goes to a cm/ my sis is law is a cm too.

Converting your garage sounds a exc idea. That would certainly appeal to me if I was looking for somewhere for my LO.

My Lo has a diary that the cm fills in every day and sends home in her bag.

My cm has her own car seats, buggys etc that she uses for the kids.

You would need to tell your insurance, and i'm sure you will need to pay extra but dont forget you will be able to offset these expenses against your tax.

Dont know about paperwork sorry. I know there is quite a bit though!

You'll need to have your house inspected by Ofsted - get stair gates, fire blankets, that kind of thing?
xx
