My LO is 4 1/2 months and am stuck with what carrier to buy, after reading the review thread i've narrowed it down to these.
which one would you choose?
She's not the smallest of babies so dont want to choose one that will end up hurting my back after 10 minutes of wearing it

Connecta

Baby hawk

Freehand Mei Tai

I've not used any of them so not particularly helpful  ...but do you have a local sling meet? Might have Connectas/BHs to try at least? I don't really like the idea of buckles so wouldn't go for a SSC personally, but it's personal choice :)

not used either but i've heard people rave about the babyhawk! I've tried a wrap and a mei tai when tom was smaller and prefered the mei tai. Have you looked at the ergo carrier, just got one for tom and I love it!! he does too, he's one now and it will last until he's at least 6, it goes from newborn too. Alsao heard good stuff about the wilkinet x x

i've got a rose & rebellion which is similar to a connecta. i've tried a connecta and a babyhawk and the r+r is by far the best of the 3 in my opinion!!!!! soooo easy to get on and off and so supportive, i can wear my fattyboy for hours.

i didn't like the bh cos i don't like buckles.

Thanks for your replies ladies!!
I really liked the look af the ergo but it's just so expensive :(

AFC, i've no idea about any sling meets? I'm also in Hampshire (fareham)

i bought my ergo off ebay for £60! good ondition too, I bet I could sell it back on there for the same price!

I'm in Basingstoke and there's one here but there's probably one a lot closer...have a look on slingmeet.co.uk :)

I recently found this site and it's ridiculously addictive!

Thanks for the links, love the natural mamas forum!

We love our BabyHawk and IJP loves being in it too so can highly recommend that. Easy to get her in and out on your own too which is important xxx
