Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this, and offer your help

I just currently did a pee test and it came out a faint positive, I havent been to the doctors yet due to easter and my job but have an apt book for next week. I am currenty around 6weeks pregnant and have started to feel pretty horrible in the mornings, last week I had started with a dull pain in my lower pelvic area, it would only hurt of pressure was put on the left side, and then yesterday morning I woke up with an unbearable pain in my right side, so it made it impossible for me to move or to breathe comfortably, I dont know if the pain has anything to do with my possibly pregnancy but I am worried, I am only 10 days late on my period and I normally have horrendous periods and I havent had the least bit cramping to single me that it would be coming and I know thats its possibly that my positive test wasnt right, but I was curious is anyone has went threw this or knows of what might be happening.

If pregnant, your about 5.5 weeks pregnant now. This is my 2nd pregnancy and starting at 6 weeks i was throwing up upto 8 times a day (this lasted 10+ weeks) Also around 6 weeks i was crampy (both pregnancies) It could just be stretching. I still get a little achey now when im meant to be ovulating.

You should definetly see a dr though because the pain your describing sounds very different to the normal pains. You mentioned unbearable so you should definetly be checked to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. Im sorry if ive scared you but its better to be on the safe side.

I hope all is well and its just a normal pregnancy thing. Whats normal for one may not be for the other so cant really say what the problem is.

It sounds similar to what I went through at the beginning of my pregnancy with Chloe. The doctors suspected an ectopic but it turned out to be ovarian cysts. The pain was unbearable to the point I couldn't move. Please do go and get checked though - they need to rule out ectopic like the calais said. :hugs:

i too only found out i was pregnant last week (will be six weeks tomorrow) but have been experiencing a lot of lower tummy pain like period pains. it only happens 4-5 times a day and is especially painful at night, to the point of it actually wakes me up. usually only lasts for 20-30mins. i did see my doctor yesterday who had a feel but did say it is nothing to worry about. i do feel slightly at ease but would love to her from anyone else who has/had the same thing and is now ok. how long does it last!!!!?

Hi. Aches and pains in early pregnancy can be completely normal. Ligament stretching is a common problem and can be excruciating. They way to determine if that is the problem is to lie on the offending side, if it passes then it is likely your ligaments stretching. I still get it at 36wks with twins, and it makes me double up in agony. I have to lie on that side and hold the weight of my bump til it subsides.

Ovary pain is also very painful - but is a less common issue. Same with eptopic - a pain which will get worse no matter what you do - it will not go away.

It is always best to get checked out, but the pain you describe can be completely normal hun. Welcome to the joys of pregnancy ;)

Thanks so much for all the answers... the pains usually lasts about an hr but dull down by the end, if I lay on my side. I have a bit of leg cramping now to but its so dull I barley notice it.. I went to my doctors and he said everything looks normals but the pain I was describing could be dangerous so I should keep an eye on it.

Hi,

When I was pregnant with my 1st I experienced dreadful pains, which started before I even knew I was pregnant. The pain was so unbearable that I found myself at work lying on the floor with my legs up the wall to try and ease it. My colleagues were all telling me to go to the Doctor to find out what was wrong but I just dismissed it saying 'I'll be alright in a minute'. Looking back, I really should have got it checked out sooner, as lying on the floor at work really isn't normal! Anyway, I did eventually go to the Doctor and various problems were ruled out (urine infections, etc.) so he suggested to me to do a pregnancy test. I did a test that afternoon and it was positive. The pains continued for a good few weeks, maybe even a couple of months, and I did have a scan at 7 weeks to check for an ectopic pregnancy but all turned out OK. With me, it must have just been everything stretching and maybe implantation pains (I've heard that some women experience this).

I do remember how worried I was when I used to get these pains so I can understand if you're unsettled about it, but if your Doctor is happy that all is well, rest assured that all turned out fine for me. :-)

It was painful cramps and no bleeding when AF was due that made me take apregnancy test. For 3 days straight i had what felt like extreme AF cramps. Waited for AF and no show. Did 7 tests in total as i didnt believe it! All BFP's!!

I am now 8 weeks and have had aches and cramps ever since. They got so bad i thought something was really wrong and even called the doc, but after speaking to them they put my mind at rest. They said even very early on your uterus will start to strech and you will feel ligaments tearing and muscles stretching. So for me it was nothing to worry about, just take some paracetamol to take the edge off.
Just make sure you dont put a hot water bottle on your tummy and dont have a really hot bath to try and make the pain go away. Apparantly its not good for ur little sproglit.
