Okay so i'm about to bite the bullet and tell parents i'm pregnant
So scared about what their reaction is gonna be

Anyone got any advice?
I know it's late to be telling them but didn't find out till late in pregnancy.

I'm being a coward and writing a letter

Any advice will be appreciated :hugs:

Thanks in advance girlies

sit them down and tell them face to face.
dont worry about it.
i was bricking myself when i told my mum
but she was dissapointed to begin with and took her a few days to come round to the idea and she got really excited.

she didnt find out until i was 25 weeks pregnant (neither did i but thats another story)

laura i honestly don't think i could. i've tried to tell my mum before and couldn't get he words out. sounds pathetic but honestly i can't.

Thanks Shona hun will let you know how it goes :| If i'm still alive lol .

take a deep breath. to be honest when i sat my mum down she thought it was 1 of 2 things.
that i was pregnant or i wanted my oh to move in with us.

both of those things happened but finding out that she knew was a weight off my shoulders.

its the best way to do it hun but good luck either way :hugs:

Laura i think i might just go for it, i think she has an idea anyways.

let us know how it goes :)
and dont worry if she freaks to begin with.
everyone needs time to let it sink in

Good luck! Hope it goes well. No advice really as my mum knew we were ttc after our loss so she used to ask me every month and id either say yes or no.

Thanks hunny :D will let ya all know thanks again for support girls

xx

What I always tell people on the 'how do I tell my parents' threads is that you might be really surprised. Of course, their initial reaction is probably going to be just like you imagined- angry, disappointed, upset, etc. But it only took my parents about an hour to calm down and speak to me rationally, and ever since then they have been soooo supportive. And this is coming from someone who thought my parents would disown me. Good luck!!

Good luck hun! I was crapping myself aswell but the response was great, let's hope its the same for you XO

Do it fast like ripping off a plaster, good luck! :hugs: xxx

Good Luck :) I'm sure once the news has settled in they'll be so happy :flower:

Thanks girlies :D will let yous all know how it goes :D

I also had to tell my mom when I was young (19) and was terrified. My parents are very strict and I expected hellfire and brimstone  but was surprised when all I got was mild disappointed and unconditional support.

My advice is to do it quickly, expect the worst for a day or two but keep in mind that they will soon start fussing over the new grandchild-to-be! :hugs:

I'm now married and expecting number two and, twelve years on, I still feel like a naughty little girl who has to face her parents with bad news, even though I know they will be over the moon! :dohh:

Maybe not the right time for humour, but how about you start off by saying something like 'I have a week to live' then say 'Just kidding, but i am pregnant'

they'll be so relieved your not dying, they'll accept your pregnancy really well

No seriously though, just go for it. Good luck sweetie ! x

You girls are mad lol make me laugh when i wanna cry!

will update you all tomorow :D
