Nearly have my OH convinced :haha: so... what can i dry?? how do I stop things from shrinking? Can you tumble dry jeans etc? I've never had one but I simply cant go through another winter of drying inside (our garden doesnt get sun in the winter!) help :flower:

I tumbledry everything. Never shrank anything yet!

I put everything on High. I never separate anything, I just shot everything in it, unless I've got a heavy load i.e loads of jeans. I'll take some out & line/radiator dry but normal load, it just gets bunged in. Usually put it on about 90mins.

Nappies (I use cloth) I put on low.

I also tumble dry everything and on high.

I whack everything in unless theres something really heavy, like a big towel as then if takes forever to get everything dry and starts to smell coz its been in there so long

xx

Oh and make sure you empty the fluff bit when its full.

I washed brand new RED bedding,so of course lots of red fluff came off and then put in my WHITES! :haha:

Took forever to get all the red off the white :dohh:

i shove everything in the tumble dryer - mine has a ready to wear setting so i just use that nothing has ever shrunk x

I have won my discussion with hubby to get a tumble dryer, keep trying to get hubby to make a decision as to which one we need (vented or condenser)

thanks everyone! OH texted and gave me the go-ahead so I'm gonna buy one now! So happy! lol

we have a condenser as we had no space near the outside wall (for the vented one) and i would say its basically the same although you have to empty the water out and prob takes about 10 mins longer than a vented one to dry xx

Enjoy your dryers girls!

One of the best things we've bought

xx

Don't tumble dry wool or things with a plastic back, like bibs. If in doubt read the labels. Enjoy was the best thing we got too!

I grew up with one and my mom did everything in it! Just ordered my first one over the wknd (oh thinks its unecessary! He doesnt do any washing) and i cant wait to not have towels and sheets hanging off every door lol. I dont put jeans in or wool or anything plastic

I couldn't live without mine! I.put mine on cuboard dry anything.higher it shrinks.and lower still comes out damp! Xx

Tumble dry everything on high other wise the cycle will take twice as long!

Make sure you empty the 'fluff catcher' regularly. We have a vented dryer and just stick the hose out of the window :haha:

I could never imaging going back to putting stuff on the radiators to dry! So time consuming :haha:

We have a washer dryer at the minute and we are getting a condenser after christmas

Get some tumble dryer balls, they have spikes on them! They are fab at fluffing up towels and speeding drying time. We got ours from eBay for a few pounds.

Those dryer balls are well worth the Money if you can get them. Improve drying time greatly in my experience :)

I dry most pants, panties, all of DH clothes. I hang my shirts (don't want them to shrink and they often do in the dryer) and any bottoms that are at the point I couldn't wear them if they shrank at all. I also hang all of my bras as they were falling apart (especially the underwires) in the dryer.

If you have a Dunhelm Mill near you they sell the dryer balls, a pack of two for £1 x
