Originally tried to feed by breastfeeding but it wasn't working as baby wasn't gaining weight. So I started trying to pump but couldn't supply enough for her demands. After three and a half weeks they became so exhausting I decided to try to breastfeed again and was still having difficulty and noticed a clicking sound and her lips weren't flanged out. Does this look like a lip tie. If so do i just call her pediatrician? Can breastfeeding be an option still even if fixed. She is 9 weeks.

Yes that does look quite restricted. I would try and get it sorted if you can as it can cause many problems :hugs:

Thank you so much for replying. I have left message with pediatrician and waiting to hear back.

I agree get it looked at asap as it's easier to sort out at a younger age. Tongue ties often occur with lip ties which also cause the clicking sound and difficulty with feeding

I have no advice as my daughter was able to breastfeed with one but I'd say that definitely is one. Hopefully your doctor gets back to you soon!

Ichigo thank you, I will have them check for tongue tie as well.

Clairaye, thank you. She can sometime latch correctly but unable to maintain. She can "nurse" for an hour on both breasts and not be satisfied.

We have appt Monday morning. Hoping to get this resolved swiftly so I can BF correctly before I dry up as my supply has never really taken off. I appreciate all the responses, means a lot to a worried momma.
