Am just wondering if anyone bruised quite a lot when injecting themselves? I went to see nurse the other day and she said it looked like I'd hit a blood vessel, anyway yesterday's injections site is quite bruised again, doesn't hurt or anything, just wanted to know if anyone else had this?

Hi MrsSunshine - where are you injecting? We injected into the thigh and didn't get much bruising until towards the end of the injections, we also hit a few blood vessels which caused a bit of bleeding. I've heard some people gettingmore bruising when injecting into the tummy, I think some people are also prone to bruise more than others, I won't worry too much - good luck with your cycle

Thank u for the reply, I'm injecting in my tummy, my last 3 injections have gone ok so must have been something I was doing wrong I think, or maybe my body just thought what the he'll r u doing to me?!

Are you rubbing the spot after injecting? If you are, then that's what's causing the bruising. Also, try not to inject too deep in.

Hi ya mrssunshine. I got bruising on my stomach after the first 3 days of injections but then my stomach didnt bruise anymore!!! Strange??? Maybe my stomach was just getting use to being prodded!!!! Also I can still see the faint mark of the bruises and it's well over a month since my injections!!!

I didn't get much bruising with the lupron injection in the tummy but I did get a lot of bruising with the progesterone in the butt injection.

I had a fair amount of bruising - but I couldn't tell you why sometimes I got a bruise and why I didn't other times. The only thing I know is if there was a drop of blood when I pulled the needle out - I would be sure to expect a bruise.
