I started weaning my boy who's nearly 6 months 3 days ago,he's still having 4 somtimes 5 7oz bottles a day roughly every 4 hrs.Anyway I've tried him with a few mouthfuls of baby rice after his first morn feed around 7am ( he likes it) I'm just wondering when I introduce more foods and meals and drop milk,it's all really confusing me and I feel like I don't have a clue about it! hv no help just passed me a leaflet to read! I have made up so purred veg ready in the freezer, and I'm not wanting to do blw yet, advice would b helpful please

I introduced solids at mealtimes just to help myself structure the process. I started with breakfast and after about a week or two introduced lunch and then dinner. I went at a pace i was comfortable with. If lo was ill i stopped and if we had a day out planned and we skipped a meal I didnt worry about it i just made sure he had enough milk before bed. I didnt drop feeds. I bf on demand and after a few weeks noticed that lo wasnt asking as often as usual. If you ff you will probably notice lo wont finish bottles. Dont stress.

Just go by baby's cues, if that makes any sense. If you try changing a schedule and it doesn't work out you can always change it back again.

We started out with a little bit of breakfast mid-morning (mashed banana, yogurt, baby porridge). After a few weeks I started giving her dinners around 5-5:30 (pureed veg mixtures). I didn't drop any milk feeds by this stage.

She naturally went down to three bottles a day (she's still on three) and we've only just really introduced a proper lunch (breakfast is still mid-morning as she still has a bottle first thing and 'lunch' before was always just snacks).
