Hi all
I just need some advice. I had d&c on wed 11th march and stopped bleeding fri 13th march.
Everytime I do vigorous exercise I seem to have a tiny bit of bleeding - is this normal?
Also did you all count your d&c as CD1? According to FF I should be ovulating today but I doubt very much I am? Any advice on this?
Thanks all

Might not be what you want to hear, it's certainly not what I do, but I had D&C nearly 5 weeks ago and have no sign of ovulating, AF at all. Having read about I think it depends entirely on the individual!!! SOme girls ovulate very quickly, others wait much longer

Hi Ya,

I had my miscarriage induced thurs 12th march and still hav on/off bleeds but like u im bit confused too, as i want to know when do u have your 1st cycle? As wanting to try again after 1st cycle if im brave enough sending
Maybe see ur doc bout the bleeding wen exercising as u might need bit more timeout from exercise im waitin to start exercisin til next week xx

Hey, you're D&C wasn't that long ago... same day I had mine!! I'm still getting the occasional bit of spotting, like you, when I exercise.

They said the bleeding could last up to 2 weeks, so don't think that there is anything wrong. If it's still happening, say next week, then go back to your GP.

As for AF/Ov... well, anybody's guess I suppose! I have no idea at all when to chart, or anything. DH and me are just taking this month as a 'bonus' month, i.e. BD when we feel like it... not dictated by FF! If AF comes, it comes, if not then happy days!!

Sorry to hear about your loss sweets, sounds like you and I were in the same boat on the 11th March x x

Sending you big  hun. So sorry to hear about your loss.

After my losses my period arrived approximately thirty days after the miscarriage was complete (first time through d&c, second time naturally). I found this on the internet, hope it helps:

It is hard to predict when the next menstrual period will return after a D&C, a gynecological procedure often used to remove tissue from the uterus after a miscarriage. During pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called hCG, which suppress the pituitary gland's production of other hormones that normally stimulate ovulation (release of an egg). The hCG level drops after the pregnancy tissue is removed during the D&C. It must drop to zero before your cycles resume. Although the length of time it takes for this to occur depends predominantly on the value of hCG present before the miscarriage, hCG suppression of the pituitary gland usually subsides within two weeks. Rarely, a small amount of placental tissue is left behind at the time of the D&C. In this case, a woman may experience persistent bleeding along with a delay in the fall of hCG levels and the return to normal cycles.

Once the hCG levels fall, your pituitary gland begins secreting the stimulatory hormones LH and FSH, and ovulation resumes. If the hCG levels were low at the time of the D&C, normal ovulation can return about two to three weeks after the D&C. Alternatively, if the fall in hCG is delayed, the first ovulation may occur three to six weeks later. As ovulation occurs two weeks before the menstrual period, you can, in fact, get pregnant before your first post-D&C menstrual period. If you do not ovulate, and your menses were irregular before the pregnancy, all bets are off.

Is it safe to get pregnant immediately? That depends. Pregnancy without an intervening menstrual period can make managing the pregnancy more difficult, as your obstetrician will need to follow you more closely to accurately determine your due date. Additionally, after a D&C, there can be a low-grade inflammatory response in the uterus that may interfere with pregnancy, making the risk of repeat miscarriage a bit higher in the first post-D&C cycle.

That said........my mom was pregnant immediately after her miscarriage thirty years ago, and here I am today:)

Sending you great big  xox

I just had a m/c followed by a d/c March 9th 15w5d and had only very light spotting for about 5 days. I then went on with life normally. I started again the following Wednesday and it has just about finished it's cycle. I went to the Dr today and he informed me that my cervix was already starting to get muccus on it so I could be ovulating. He advised that we can have relations, but use protection, we don't have to it's just to date the pregnancy and while your body is more fertile just after you m/c. Hope this helps I know that what I have read from everyone elses has helped me.:hugs:
