Help plz with child tax cred/housing benefit?!

My partner earns 23000 a year plus bonus some mths but not guarenteed. I am coming to the end of my maternity pay and we wont be able to survive on just his wage, does anybody know if we are entitled to these and how long it takes to come through? We rent privately. help!

As long as you earn under £26000 per year as a household (assuming you have 1 child) you will be entitled to CTC/WTC. I don't think you'll be entitled to housing benefit though xx

Me and OH earned 19000 between us last year and aren't entitled to working tax credits or child tax credits :/ they were paying us but when they calculated it for the last tax year we'd been overpaid by 500 quid and now it's stopped :/ strange when the threshold is 26000

I would definitely appeal this decision. my friends were overpaid £900 and their payments didn't stop. tax credits just started underpaying them by about £30 a month Xx

I just did the calc, based on OH just working earning 22800, and with me not working but still having to pay for lo nursery fees (we pay then get refunded the free hours) and it says £3720.
