HELP.. primary school appeal

hi everyone... wondering if anyone has appealed their childs school place and could give me any pointers?

where you successful in your appeal?

how long did it take?

my son has been offered a school that was not one of our choices, and im really unhappy about it, the school isnt that the closest to our home address and is going to make me staying at work difficult as i dont drive and its a 45min walk away from my work (i finsh work at 3)

Hi, we're going through the same thing at the moment! Have a look at infant class size appeals, they're quite difficult to win due to the legislation surrounding 30 in a class. We've stated medical reasons for wanting a particular school but they've refused us due to distance from school. Our argument is that they have unfairly discounted our daughters medical needs therefore they have breached the admissions code.

Have a read of the ACE school appeals website. Lots of people will telly you that you will be unsuccessful but I think that if you don't try you'll never know!
