So I'm 10DPO and checked my cervix today.. .it's high and hard and closed, but there's a small bump on it! I googled this, and white it could be serious, chances are it's a benign bump/cyst that will likely go away on its own.

Has anyone here experienced this???? Please help!

Didnt want to read n run. Never experienced it. Hope anyone can give u some advice. Am also 10DPO! Hope we get our BFP!!

snap seriously snap - same thing - have you given birth before... I dont know if that has any impact?

I'm watiting for another week then contacting the local gp :(

I hate it and am brain whirring to the worst!

Know the feeling. Head must be in a@%e. Hope it gets sorted out soon to u two. :hugs:

Am due to have mine checked in 2 half weeks time to see if mild dyskaryosis still there or gone. Just want all this to be over.

Hmmm, I seem to be getting a few smallish bumps on my cervix during the TWW but they go away after a short time. Only during the TWW when my cervix is high. Actually come to think of it, it has only been the last 3 cycles which were pregnancy with m/c at 5w6d, chemical and this one. That mya or may not mean something.

The most common thing for them to be is nabothian cysts. They are really common. There are glands on the cervix that produce mucus and stuff and occasionally they get plugged causing a bump. They tend to be on the smaller size (but vary from grain of sand small to pea size and rarely bigger then grape size). They are not cancerous and are rarely treated. Sometimes doctors will remove them if they are causing problems like painful intercourse but the majority of the time they have no symptoms at all. They often come and go however I had one that stayed for 3 years and have had two that have come and gone in that time. I also have a friend who frequently gets them but they usually resolve themselves after 1 or 2 weeks.

So yes, cervical cysts are very common but it's still important to get reg pap smears done. If you haven't had a pap in the last year I suggest you get one. If you have, then it would be perfectly fine to wait until your due for a pap again but if your worried a sooner check up can give you piece of mind.

Everyone, thank you SO much for replying. You've eased my mind. My recent paps were clear, so it's probably a benign thingy. I'll keep monitoring and go see the doc if it doesn't soon go away.

THANKS AGAIN! :)

I've had a little bump for ages. But since I've had it I've had like (what seems like) a million internal exams and 1 internal scan when I miscarried 4 months ago and nobody mentioned it to me, and they surely noticed it if I did. So I'm not worried about it :)

XxX
