Help us decide (again)

Can't stand choosing baby names any more so these are our options. We've gone for names that nobody is likely to use before I give birth to our son.

Er...the middle one I guess? I don't like any of them but it's the only one I have heard of.

You could name baby when they are born? I named Sophie when she was 3 days old.

Sorry, I couldn't vote....I'm finding it hard to choose between those because they are so similar.

Simeon
Silas
Jedediah

All strong and very under-used names....

I've already suggested waiting until he's born before we name him but OH doesn't like the idea. He thinks we'll be more concerned with everything else and doesn't want to be forced to choose a name under pressure when we have all this time now x

Just go with your original favourites and screw anyone else! Who cares if your friends son has the name, or even someone in your own family! You have to choose the name you love or you will regret it forever. What is the point in picking a name you don't even like just to please other people?

We stuck with Thomas even though there is already a little Thomas in the family.

To be honest these names are quite weird to me, the top one sounds like that bird from The Lion King a bit.

I totally agree!! We're having trouble with choosing a girl's name right now, and I'm thinking I should stick with what we love instead of trying to be very original. Thanks, you may have solved my problem

We named Erika, Hana for so long whilst she was in the womb. Then I got handed this baby after a c-section and I was like your not a Hana. So in the recovery room OH and I decided Erika and that is what she is.

So even if you have a name you might change it once you give birth. Don't stress to much about it and just go with the flow. Also if you don't like those 3 names don't give in to your DH as he hasn't had to carry a baby around for 9 months.

Why do you have these names as options if you're not fond of them? Go for what you and OH love, even if it means someone else has the name too. Growing up I had friends with my same name and we had a blast confusing teachers.
