I'm pretty convinced we're having a boy! But we're stuck on names...

My husband has his heart set on Diego... I'm not keen on that.
I LOVE Morgan, but he says that's not unusual enough...

We want a name that's not too 'out there', but not common either.
Last name is Ellis, any ideas?!

Does your OH know the meaning of the name Diego? It mans ''supplanter", which means to steal a place from someone by being devious and underhand. It's a nice name, but the meaning would bother me.

Morgan to me, is a girls name.

It sounds like you like names that are a bit different though. What about.....

Ambrose - means immortal
Paxton - derived from pax, meaning peace
Arlon - Gaelic name meaning promise
Seamus - Another Irish name
Gabriel- hero of god
Wesely- means meadow
Silas - means asked for
Munroe
Marlow
Isaac
Weston
Luca

Well my sons name is Morgan, and I think it originally was a boys name!!!

I had the same problem convincing OH

I kinda blackmailed him though by saying the best mothers day gift he could get me would to agree on Morgan :)

hope you find something soon x

The only Morgan's I know are girls....not sure on that one

Boys names I like are:
Cole
Owen
Isaiah
Cohen
Jaiden
Jaxon

Morgan, mor-gan\,is pronounced MOR-gan. It is of Welsh origin, and its meaning is "circling sea". Also possibly (Welsh) "great brightness" or (Old English) "bright or white sea dweller". Actor Morgan Freeman; financier J.P. Morgan.
Morgan has 3 variant forms: Morgen, Morgun and Morrgan.

A baby name that sounds like Morgan is Markaine.

Morgan is a very common first name for men (#508 out of 1220) and also a very common last name for both men and women (#57 out of 88799). (1990 U.S. Census)

I know it is frequently used as a girls name but I think it's used just as much as a boys name!

I don't like Diego Ellis at all, tbh. Morgan to me is unisex although you would have to be prepared for it to perhaps go the way of Lindsay, Jordan and Ashley which have become more and more associated with girls in recent years.

Braedyn, Bradley, Hunter, Liam, Leo, Rylan, Kyler, Tristan, Sebastian, Tobias, Zander, Arlo, Kai, Mylo, Nico, Rocco, Carlo, Daygen, Falcon, Preston, Greyson, Carson, Carter, Elijah

Lennon, Logan, Flynn, Presley, Macauley, Franklin, Sonny, Lachlan, Lincoln ???? .

I know boys and girls called Morgan, so I personally think its a unisex name, although i has become an increasingly popular girls name lately . Sorry but dont like Diego :nope:. xx

Good luck deciding :winkwink:. xx

i see Morgan as a unisex name... but defo prefer it for boys!! and also prefer it to Diego :)

I like Morgan for a boy! It's cute! Used to like Diago myself but then found out what it meant!
