Help with engorgement please

DD is 3 days old, today my milk came in. I've been feeding DD every 1 1/2 - 2 hours and hand expressing in between to try and ease some of the discomfort. I've also been using a cold flannel after feedings. But it's so sore!

Any advice on how to relieve this as much as possible? I'm getting a lot of pain in my left armpit which I can't seem to ease at all.

You need to express enough to ease the soreness. Don't leave it as is or you might get a blocked duct or worse. Don't worry about it affecting your supply, just gently express enough so your breasts aren't rock hard and painful. It'll take a few days for your supply to regulate but you'll get there
