Hiya girls,

I could possibly be made redundent today (Whole company!) got a meeting at 3pm today, so currently doing no work so thought i'd pop on here..
My maternity pay starts on 21st August... but im using annual leave before hand and leaving next Friday

Anyone know what im entitled too? And what benefits i can claim?

Ta x

Just seen this doll :hugs:

Dont know what u would be entitled to but hope someone comes along that can help xoxo

Found this link doll hope it helps, from what I can see u r still entilted to SMP even if u have been made redundant.

https://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/Parentalleaveandpay/DG_10029290

Hope this helps and hope ur ok xoxo

Thanks hun, I'll text you later with the outcome... don't find out until 4 now as they are waiting for one more legal document, fucking fuming! xxx

You are still entitled to SMP because it is paid by the govt, through your company. The company pays it and then claim it back from the govt.

With regards your holiday - if they make you redundant, you are entitled to a notice period and, I think, a week's salary for each year you have been there, so you should still get your holiday before you go on maternity.

Fingers crossed you get to keep your job.x

I've been made redundent from today. I wont get my pay for at least 6 weeks, i get compensation for not been given a notice and get my wages for my 15 days annual leave. Dont get redundancy pay as I havent been there for 2 years...

I plan to take the company to a tribunal or whatever its called, have to look into it... but i and a few others think i had a good case. Only 2 women are pregnant, myself and another woman who has been there 11 years they got rid of, instead of keeping me on they kept people who have very bad sickness attendence, have been there for a few months only. I havent been sick, always go over my targets, so its basically because im pregnant

Now i have to survive on £60 a week until bubs is here :cry::cry:

I'd deffo take them to court, I thought you had to be given notice before they can just get rid.

Hope you get a decent outcome :hugs:

I went into work one day and was told i had to leave as i was being made redundant. I had no notice and was due to start mat leave the week after. What i did was call the adminitstrators/insolvency service and they sent me some forms to fill out. I then got forms from the govt and sent them back in FEB. I only recieved my backpay and first payment this week. Its crap but youll get there, just speak to HR or whoever is dealing with the company now x

Thanks alot for the replies guys! :flower:

I have already filled in the RP1 form while i was in the office with help from whom ever the administrators came in with.

Does anyone know if i will be entitled to the £500 grant now im not working?

How do people who dont work survive on £60?... I had to break into my savings/baby account to tide me over  xx

Yes you should deffinately be able to get the £500 grant now you are not working. You will also be able to get council tax benefit and housing benefit.

When i was pregnant i got 90 pound every two weeks, i payed my bill fortnightly as it made it easier and had to cut down on what food i bought it is really hard but it is just a case of finding the easiest way to pay for bills, food etc for you. Also if you are struggling with money you can ring up your electric company, tv liscencing company etc and explain to them that you are struggling with money and would like to make a payment plan suitable for you for example paying £10 a week or something, i did this and it worked out well and stopped me from getting into too much debt.

Thanks alot guys. Yeah they are supposed to give a months notice, but didnt so i get conpensation.

Phoned Jobcentre plus, im entitled too Income support and a maternity allowence, or something. I also get the sure start grant so least that is something! x
