Help!!!

I was hoping OH obsession with this name was going to pass but it's just getting stronger. We have managed to agree on a girls name with ease but boy's.....well thats where it all goes very wrong lol. OH has his heart set on calling our LO Forest if it's a boy. Now part of me does think there is something cute about it but a massive part of me convince that the child will be forever tormented.

What do you all think..............am I being over dramatic lol???????

I have to agree with you, although it is initially quite cute sounding I do think it will put a child up for a lot of torment, and of course there's the Forest Gump thing . If its the nature theme that he likes then how about something else like River, Oakley, Storm (just a few off the top of my head). xx

I can relate to this situation!
Me and my OH have generally discussed names for a boy and a girl, nothing set in stone, but if our baby is a boy he wants to give him the middle name of Gordon after his dad and no offence, but I think it's an awful name! I know it would only be our little boy's middle name (if we're on team blue! We want a surprise) but I hate it! Everytime I try to object, he says it would mean a lot to him and I'm finding it hard to say no to him. I know we have got ages to decide, but I can see this being an ongoing battle, especially if LO is a boy ...
I think Hunter is cute, it's quite an original name, well I don't know anyone called Hunter! But I agree with MUMOF5 who says there could be the Forest Gump link ... Maybe suggest it could be your LO's middle name ... how hypocritical is that

Is Forest a family name or did he just take a liking to it?

I am not sure about the teasing bit - Forest Gump is such an old film - most kids coming up will not relate to much to it, I think....

PP: As for Gordon as a middle name, I am all for family names as middle names - I think it is a nice thing to do and Gordon is not too bad
