Hemorrhoids :'(

Has anyone suffered from hemorrhoids in pregnancy? How often did it bleed and how did you treat it? I wasnt even that constipated and hardly strained but before i saw the blood i knew something was wrong because my bottom felt sore. there was A LOT of blood and when i finished in the loo there was no more. I'm not too worried because it didnt hurt but as long as its not dangerous or doesnt become painful. i dont want to be out one day and it bursts or something (i checked with a mirror and theres nothing there- could it be a one off?)

I think i have them to but mine are painful. Im going to go to thedoctors to get cream x

I've got them,they arrived at the end of my pregnancy with DS and haven't gone. A couple of weeks ago they started bleeding and were sore, I went to the doctor and he said since they weren't big just see how I get on and hopefully they'll settle down. Seems to have done, I've not had any bleeding for over a week

I get them a lot as I have IBS and go from constipation to the runs on a daily basis. I find the creams for them tend to burn like hell if you are bleeding and have broken skin. I use nappy rash cream (Bepanthen or Sudocrem) to heal the broken skin then use Germoloids as it has numbing stuff in it and works brilliantly.

Im hoping this is just a one off. there was an awful lot of blood though like loads! I just hope i dont have to worry about bleeding in public or something :'(

I get THE WORST hemorrhoids during pregnancy... It started with my son.. I sat on the toilet for 6 hours (No, I'm not kidding) before finally being able to push enough to use the bathroom... because the hemorrhoids were so big and swollen that nothing could pass. I know, way TMI, but that tells you just how awful it was for me.

I treat whenever it gets swollen or bleeding, with some witch hazel and then a hemorrhoid treatment cream. If you can't see anything, that means your hemorrhoid is on the inside instead of on the outside... It doesn't really matter either way, though. The most important thing is to not sit on the potty any longer than you have to, or it will irritate the hemorrhoid. If it doesn't bother you, there's no reason to treat it. Also, hemorrhoids don't just randomly "burst" or bleed... So don't worry about that at all!!!

Thank you! I had a nightmare about it last night that there was blood everywhere. do you know if germaloids is safe?

its safe, i used it when i found a small one that i didnt know was there, i only applied the cream twice and it went down, now its just like a little skin tag sort of thing

To be honest i cant even see that far even with a mirror - im so not flexible! I'm going to start drinking innocent smoothies because i hate fruit :-\

I believe I have an internal hemroid (probably due to HORRIBLE constipation and straining in the first trimester) and I notice some blood when I wipe and sometimes a little in the toilet but its usually not too much. I do notice it sometimes when I wipe even when I haven't gone number 2 but its never much at that point. Since its always red blood (which means fresh blood) i haven't worried about it.

i found mine by just 'feeling' then i got my OH to put on the cream LOL. not the nicest of jobs but he knew it was upsetting me

Oh my i think i'll get d doc to have a look so i dont have to feel around! Your oh must be lovely if i told mine to put cream on my ass he'd probably move out lol

I have them to had them since was in labour with first they never truly went !! They are horrible I tried most creams I found using a mix of suppositories and cream really helped but never fully cured it !! And they cost xx

I think i might try crying n see what he says! Ever since ive started drinking innocent smoothies daily i havent had them! Fingers crossed it was a one off. i know my cuz still has it n piles are in my family :'(

I had one after the birth of my 2nd baby. It's gone now and never bled. I'd be getting checked out if I was you.
