Hen Party theme ideas please!

Hi,

I am organising my sisters hen party with her other bridesmaids. We are struggling to think of a good, unusual idea for the sat night theme. We are going for a meal at la tasca followed by cocktail bars but need a dress theme. We dont want it tacky or too sexy ifykwim. Also cant be too expensive to get bits.

Any ideas from you lovely ladies?

Miss World!!
The bride gets to be Miss World, nice dress, tiara etc, and everyone else picks a country to dress up as. Can be as tame or over the top as you like! We spent the day making our own sashes to wear with "Miss USA" etc on them.

I went to one where we all dresses as cabin crew (tan tights, straight black skirts, white shirts, OTT makeup and then we ordered the little pillar box hats and neckerchiefs online to match).

Had a circus theme for mine. Granted, my ringmaster costume took a bit of effort but my friends came as clowns, fortune tellers, acrobats and lions/lion tamers Clowns are fairly easy, the face paint is most of it. The fortune tellers wore gypsy skirts, headscarfs and hooped earrings. Acrobats were the brave slim ones in the group wearing full lycra bodysuits Here's me as the ringmaster. Forgive the face, I was already extremely drunk!

I also had a letter theme as my last name is now Payne so everyone came as something beginning with p, so we ended up with punks, pink ladies, play boy bunnies, police ladies all sorts x

It's my sisters in five weeks and she wanted something sophisticated and elegant, and like you, dinner and cocktails is on the menu. We are having a Pretty Woman type theme. We're all 'normal' people that have 'normal' jobs (not hookers) and want to experience the 'other' life so getting dressed up (red dress type dress up) and looking like we should have our own private jets. I've even hired a town car for the evening.

My hen night was Halloween 2008 and we call got dress up as sexy witches/vampires etc. Not very unusual for Halloween but for a Hen night it was.

My OH is having a letter theme for his stag.
I'm having an away hen in butlins on the 90s weekend so that's the theme sorted, although for 1 night were going as teenage mutant ninja turtles lol.
Home hen were thinking of having a big fat gypsy hen do theme!
