Here we go AGAIN!!

I am so sad and have been sat here crying for ages now. Got Hannah weighed today for the first time in over 2 weeks and has only gained 4oz!!

Well I have to say that I am getting sick of it, beyond belief. I have peads doc next thurs (2nd july) and she had phoned my hv to make sure I had got H weighed. She is going behing my back and asking the hv to check that I am getting H weighed! I can't believe it. BITCH! And now I know she is going to find out about H's weight I am so upset.

H now has more formula than ever having a 7oz bottle at 9pm. She has dropped off to the 0.4 line on the graph and I need to do something drastically! I need to get her to feed more efficiently but don't know how to!

Any advice welcome please

it says that formula has less calories than breast milk. I know how nice it is to be able to actually see what's going into your baby though especially when things aren't going as well as you want them to. The last bit about expressing after your breast fed so you're just getting hind milk that you can then offer your baby that sounds like a really good idea to me .

No I haven't seen the doc since last time so I haven't been able to ask for a second opinion. I don't have a leg to stand on when she isnt gaining now though!

maybe some lead weights in her diaper next weigh in? Seriously love, we know how hard you have been working at getting her to gain weight. She seems to be gaining the same amount each time, as well, so that is good. Some babies are going to be at the very bottom of the charts, and some at the very top. I am so sorry you are having such a hard time, and that the HV's are giving you so much trouble.

For starters I think you should complain about this meddling behind you back. That was out of order and you have every right to kick up a fuss.

Secondly you really have tried so hard and stuck at it so much longer than most would in your situation. If you decide to stop now no one would blame you but if you decide to continue we are all still here to cheerlead!

i've got no advice hun, but i know you've been thru so much and tried absolutely everything you can. she does seem to be gaining steadily tho, even tho its just little amounts xx
